World Ministries Contribution Update

The church received an estimated $725,000 in World Ministries Mission Tithes in September 2008, $110,000 less than was needed to balance the budget. Three months into the fiscal year, we are 4% behind the goal of $10.5 million for the year. We are vividly aware of the turbulence in financial markets worldwide, and understand the concern you, our faithful contributors, must be feeling about your own investments. We are especially grateful to you for supporting the church so generously at this time.

Your contributions of $10.5 million this year will support the following ministries around the world:

• Field ministry in Russia and Ukraine, reaching thousands who are hungry for the healing balm of the gospel

• Field ministry in Sierra Pacific USA Mission Center, making the connection of justice, Christ’s peace, and loving generosity

• Missionary outreach in Rio Grande USA Mission Center to help congregations in living out discipleship in mission and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in their communities
