Saturday, October 23, at 7:30 p.m.
The Temple
•  Free-Will Offering

The Metropolitan Chorale of Kansas City and the Heritage Philharmonic will open their 2010/2011 season focusing on the music of Mozart - and a few others.  Comprised of members from the surrounding communities as well as the Blue River campus of Metropolitan Community College, the two ensembles will present an evening of sacred music culminating with Mozart's final work; his Requiem Mass. Originally commissioned for the memorial of Count von Walsegg's wife who died at the age of 20, Mozart's Requiem Mass is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful pieces of ever composed and will be lovely to experience in a space dedicated to the pursuit of peace and ideally suited for the performance of choral music.
